Earning a high income does not necessarily translate to financial freedom, particularly in a society that has normalised financial stress and conflicts around money in our relationships. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Financial Freedom
Financial freedom begins in our minds, no matter how much we currently make. It requires an abundant mindset and a deep understanding that money is energy, which can flow or stagnate based on our beliefs.
In my role as a Behavioural Money Coach, I have found that limiting beliefs and behaviours around money and self significantly impact your ability to achieve financial freedom.
Beliefs
Beliefs such as lack of worthiness and scarcity, to name a few, show up in self-sabotaging behaviours such as making poor financial decisions, overspending or holding on to money tightly for fear it may run out. Beliefs create our behaviours, so becoming aware of our conscious and unconscious beliefs is vital for creating change in regard to your relationship with money.
Energy

Money is also energy and is intended to flow. Financial abundance requires a clear vision and intention to allow it to flow in ways that serve us in life. A fundamental shift is getting money to work for you rather than you working for money begins with understanding your beliefs and how they affect your behaviours.
Steps For Change
Changing your relationship and experience with money starts with internal work such as:
- Awareness – what beliefs do you hold about money?
- Vision – get clear on what you want to create, and then use intention to create your reality.
- Respect the Flow of Money
Believe that you are worthy of living your dream life.
